Ready... Set... Knit... Crochet... Sew!
Let your creativity blossom and help fibre artist Sue Sturdy create an underground secret garden at the Peel Heritage Complex, using fabric you love, or yarn from your stash to make work that will take root in our secret garden. Be part of a large piece of public art!
HOW TO CONTRIBUTE
Knitted, crocheted, or sewn pieces of any size will be accepted but preference is for:
1. Pieces 10 x 10 inch (25.4 x 25.4 cm), using new or recycled materials in any technique, such as sewing, knitting, quilting, crocheting, felting, beading….. of flowers.
2. Pieces that are 10 inches wide (25.4cm) any length.
You may use any type of yarn, pattern, colour, fabric and technique you wish.
All items submitted will be repurposed into blankets, scarves, mitts and hats and will be donated to charities within the Peel Region.
And please attach a piece of paper to the work with your name, address, phone number and email and any stories about the work you have created and why. Sue would like the work submitted by the end of August 2012.
